Just a quick estimation based off of this ProFootballFocus.com chart it seems like then the average NFL team is in Man Coverage around 40% of the time . Arizona KC SF TEN & CHI are the only teams who were in Man Coverage atleast 50% of all defensive snaps. Denver just missed the cut at 49% . The Steelers needs to get that 22% Man Coverage up around 40% in 2017 if they want to be successful. Pittsburgh was actually played a Nickle Sub Package 2-4-5 around 70% of defensive snaps. You will never generate any consistent pass rush with only 2 Interior Defensive Lineman on the field.
